Who Is Rapid?

Rapid, LLC creates digital video content. Our services include pre-production, production, and post production at our division Rapid Post. Both Rapid Post and our soundstage are located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our Digital Video can be shown on VHS video tape, on the Internet with streaming video, on computer CDs, on video disks, on DVD, and we can even make still photos!

We have several titles that Rapid has self produced. Working in Yellowstone is a documentary about the people that work in Yellowstone National Park. It features interviews and fantastic wild animal footage plus spectacular shots of Yellowstone itself. Working in Yellowstone was submitted to the Sundance Film Festival as a part of the Documentary competition. In February 2001, this movie was accepted into the library at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (The Academy Awards).

Rapid also produced an educational video about the State Quarters being produced by the US Mint. The Quarters themselves are a part of history and also feature historical scenes from each state on the reverse. Our video, Coin Collecting: The State Quarters, is sold nationally on web sites and in dozens of coin shops throughout the US.

Rapid is also a leader in stock footage. Our library of Utah Stock Footage is unmatched. All areas of Utah landscapes are covered. From the natural Red Rock formations in the far south, to the lush green landscapes of the mountains, to the deep white snow of the ski resorts, to the deep desert sand of the west, Rapid has it all! We also have a very large stock footage collection of "cityscapes" featuring Salt Lake City - covering all seasons. Our award winning collection of sunsets has been broadcast nationally on cable channels. Rapid also has stock footage of "cloud shots" taken from an airplane.

Jon B. Bushey has designed a universal mount for the JVC HD10U. Rapid LLC has begun production of the matte box mount. More information can be found at the link above.

Art Niemann & Co. - Rapid has completed many projects for this loyal client. The first project was an employee training series of four VHS tapes. The series focused on customer service and how to communicate between customers and other team members. It stressed professionalism, courtesy, efficiency and has both lecture plus real-world scenarios. Recently, Rapid created a CD-ROM to introduce a new program to new and existing customers. When inserted into a computer, the CD-ROM automatically plays a movie. The movie is a personal message from the President of Art Niemann & Co. At the conclusion of the movie, the user is presented with a software menu of other function contained on the CD-ROM. Rapid LLC also produced Art Niemann & Co.'s web page drawing on the talents of all three divisions of Rapid: Web services, Computer services, and Video services.

Express One - Rapid authored a CD-ROM that has a movie. The movie introduces the Express One computer software for use by franchisees. The movie gives a general overview of the franchise and of the cutting edge software. At the end of the movie, the CD-ROM then asks if the user wishes to install the EOS system.

Qqest Software - Qqest is a software company that was already shipping their software on CD-ROM. One of their many software titles required the installation of hardware in addition to the software. The CD-ROM had quite a bit of extra space on it. Rapid was able to create a movie that played from their CD-ROM that walked the user step-by-step through the installation process. It was agreed that the movie would drastically reduce the tech support calls! Also, because Qqest was already sending out the CD-ROM - there was NO ADDITIONAL COST to the user or to Qqest to provide this very valuable service.

Alpha Liner - Another franchise company that sold spray-in bed liners. Rapid created several VHS and CD-ROM titles to sell franchises. Also to be used as Point-Of-Sale demos, salesman aids when selling to dealerships, for training franchisees, and many other promotional uses. In addition, still pictures from video shoots where used in printed advertising AT NO ADDITIONAL COST!

Bridges Telemarketing - Created several commercials for product sold by telemarketing as well as sold at a retail location. Created on a small budget, the shoot included location work AND a day's shooting at Rapid's Soundstage. One of the major issues on this shoot was managing the large number of actors and extras required by the script. The commercials were produced for broadcast and may also be used for in-store promotion PLUS Web-Cast.

Trailway's Motorcoach - Rapid produced a safety video that is played for passengers on the motorcoach. The video describes features of the motorcoach, as well as what to do during various situations.

Ron Nelson - Ron is a professional magician. Rapid produced a promotional video showing the many services that Ron can provide for corporate parties, trade shows, and other events. Building upon the success of the promotional video, Ron choose to make a video that shows how to do balloon magic. It is an instructional video that is sold nationally.
